We hope that everyone has had an enjoyable three day weekend! Couple reminders coming back to school.
1) Return sold football fundraiser tickets with money. Those that have turned in their 10 ticket minimum by Thursday will be in a drawing for $200 cash.
2) Order lunch for the week.
3) Charge Chromebooks for school.
4) Tuesday is free dress for August and September birthdays. Come to the office to get your stamp. Parents may also bring lunch for August and September birthdays.
Labor day weekend is a great time to sell your football fundraiser tickets. We have a few left in the office if you would like to get some more for the weekend. Friday Sept. 6th is the last day to turn in tickets that will count for all 18 weeks. But you can continue to sell tickets that will be eligible to win for future weeks.
Families with their minimum of 10 tickets sold and returned with money by 2:30 Thursday Sept. 5th will be entered in a $200 cash drawing.

Football fundraiser ticket sales are going great! Just over 2000 tickets have been sold and returned. Please keep sending in the sold tickets with money so they can be entered into the program that finds winners each week.
If you need additional tickets, the office still has a few to send home.
Remember there will be a drawing for $200 cash Thursday September 5th for all families that have returned their 10 sold assigned tickets.
We would like to help speed up the drop off line in the mornings along the school side. Starting Tuesday, please pull up to Mr. Hollenbeck or the bright orange cone just past the mailbox. We are going to ask that once you come to a stop, anywhere from that cone back to the sidewalk at the gym steps, to have your student get out and walk up the sidewalk to the main door. This should allow multiple cars to let students out at the same time instead of just the one or two closest to the main entrance. We hope students will be able to get into the building quicker and parents off to work or to their next drop off quicker.
We will have several staff out to help with traffic movement and reminding students to get out of the car in different spots along the line.

5) We had our first free dress on Friday. We did address a few items that were not allowed. Please review the free dress guidelines. You may also want to review boys and girls hair under the uniform code. Specifically facial hair on boys and hair color on girls.

It has been a great first full week of school and the weekend is approaching quickly. A few reminders heading into the weekend.

4) Student Parent statement of responsibility forms are due next Friday. Please see the newsletter for the link to sign the forms.
5) We conducted our first Code Green Fire Drill of the year and our students and staff preformed very well. We will continue to practice our safety and security drills in the coming weeks and months.

All 7th grade students need a Bible for religion class. These are needed by Monday. St. Scholastica's gift shop has them for $8. They will be used as a textbook and will be written/highlighted in, so no family Bibles or anything sentimental. Please ensure your 7th graders brings his/her Bible to school. Thank you!
Additional football fundraiser tickets can be requested and sent home each day. Several are coming home today, please ask your student for them if you requested them. Also have your student check their backpacks and lockers if you are missing tickets. Please call the office at 479-782-2451 if you would like tickets sent home with your student.

Sadly the weather did not cooperate today. As much as we wanted to have Tailgate Trinity, we had a downed power line at the entrance to Trinity and 46th street; Free Ferry Road directly across from the field was closed due to a large tree down; and several inches of rain fell overnight, continuing into the morning, causing a muddy mess. We held out hope as long as possible to see if we could still make it happen, but not this time.
We greatly appreciate everyone that helped set up and clean up for the event, and for your understanding of having to cancel.
We hope to see everyone at the season opening volleyball game Monday night and our first football game Thursday night at Zion.
